The United States and Canada will be playing each other again in the Four Nations faceoff finale later this week.
After the first game between the two teams proved to be a huge success, the finale is now more anticipated than ever.
Overall, the Four Nations tournament has been a massive success for the NHL, drawing larger ratings than even some Stanley Cup final games.
However, not everyone is that excited about the event and the finale.
Recently, NHL superstar Alex Ovechkin dissed the NHL saying he couldn't really care less about how the tournament plays out.
Today, another superstar joined Ovechkin in that sentiment. Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak revealed that he also 'couldn't care less' who wins between the United States and Canada.
Of course, it might not come as much of a surprise that NHL players who were explicitly excluded from the tournament don't feel particularly interested in watching it.
Unfortunately, this is the largest criticism for the event. With just Sweden, Finland, Canada, and the USA playing, players like Ovechkin and Pastrnak are left out.
And there are countless other NHL superstars who would probably love to play in a tournament like this who just weren't allowed to.
Leon Draisaitl, Tomas Hertl, and Igor Shesterkin are just a few household names around the league that were excluded from the Four Nations faceoff simply because they were not born in one of those four countries.
Hopefully the next time the NHL hosts a tournament like this, every country will be allowed to participate. We will just have to wait and see what happens at the next World Cup of Hockey.
