Sidney Crosby will lead Team Canada one last time this year as they face Team USA in the Four Nations faceoff final tonight.
Crosby is tied with USA defenseman Zach Werenski for the tournament lead in points with 5, one goal and four helpers.
If the team is going to defeat the Americans in the finale, they will need another strong performance from their captain.
Notably, Team Canada is 26-1-0 in their last 27 matches with Crosby in the lineup.
Of course, the one loss came last weekend when they dropped the round robin game versus the USA 3-1.
Yesterday, one of the NHL's best American clubs took a jab at the Canadian legend with a post to X.
The Carolina Hurricanes posted a picture of Crosby practicing with fellow Team Canada forward, and member of the Hurricanes, Seth Jervis.
The post was caption, 'A legend and Sidney Crosby'
One fan responded to the post saying that 'he' is going to frame it, implying Jarvis, but the Canes quickly responded, clarifying that it would be Crosby who frames the picture.
Surely, Crosby will give us his A game tonight as he tries to get one more victory over his cross-border rivals.
Team USA got some good news ahead of the match yesterday, as it was confirmed that Auston Matthews and Matthew Tkachuk will be in the lineup.
However, Tkachuk noted that his brother Brady, who missed the game against Sweden, is still dealing with an illness, and could potentially miss the final.
Whether or not Brady is in the lineup, the game should be one of the most exciting in recent memory.
