was discharged from hospital today, and he wasted no time sending his fellow teammates at the 4 Nations a good luck message for tonight.
Team USA defenseman Charlie McAvoy has been officially discharged from Mass General Hospital today. On his return home, he sent a message of patriotism to his Red, White, and Blue teammates.
It's a safe bet that McAvoy will be standing tall tonight during the 'Star-Spangled Banner', likely from his home in Boston.
Meanwhile, Canadian head coach Jon Cooper had already confirmed earlier today that he will be making changes to the lineup for the 4 Nations Face-Off Final. Forward Travis Konecny will sit out, and Seth Jarvis will take his place.
Jarvis said he learned of the news this morning and referred to tonight's game as probably the biggest game of his hockey career.
"This is probably the biggest game of my hockey career."

All US players except McAvoy are healthy and should play
On the US side, head coach Mike Sullivan also affirmed that all of his players, except for McAvoy, are prepared to play against Canada.
This means that forward Brady Tkachuk, Matthew Tkachuk, and Auston Matthews are all healthy and ready to hit the ice tonight.
Puck drop is set for 8 PM EST. All eyes across the continent will be on the ice in Boston for this epic grand finale of the 4 Nations tournament.
