Today in a new video NESN the broadcaster of the Boston Bruins announced the new play-by-play man for the team. Judd Sirott has officially won out and now will become the lead voice of the Bruins according to Kevin Dupont.
This name should be familiar to Bruins fans as he has been the radio voice of the Boston Bruins since 2017-18. This means that he has passion and knowledge of the Bruins and their fans. He also should greatly appreciate his predecessor Jack Edwards who commented on the new hiring.
Before coming to the Boston Bruins Judd Sirott spent time in a different aspect of hockey broadcasts. He was the pre and post-game host for the Chicago Blackhawks for several seasons before getting the call to move to play-by-play in Boston.
Judd Sirott now moves into a very prestigious role and one that comes with lofty expectations. It will be interesting to see if he can endear himself to the Bruins fans and fill the shoes of Jack Edwards going forward.
