Hurricanes GM Eric Tulsky confirms massive trade news for Martin Necas
Martin Necas can very well enter the 2024-25 season as a Carolina Hurricane according to GM Eric Tulsky.
At the end of last season, the likelihood of Martin Necas remaining a Carolina Hurricanes after the NHL draft was just about none, however with that passing and the trade opportunities flying away by the day, he can very well stay in Carolina, especially after filing for arbitration.
Tulsky on Necas: "As of right now he's an RFA with us, headed for arbitration where he'll get either a 1 or 2 year contract. And he'll play for us. If something happens between now and then, then that'll happen. But right now that's what I'd assume."
Tulsky hasn't dismissed a trade scenerio, but the consensus is that their is no rush to trade the Czech forward if the Canes don't receive the offer and return they feel is appropriate for him.
Hearing that RFA, Martin Necas is setting himself up for a 1-2 year deal post arbitration which is a 3rd party source finding the median of league price and team price of the player, so expect Martin Necas to be playing for the Carolina Hurricanes for the 2024-2025 season. 🌀
