Thursday night's game between the Colorado Avalanche and the Chicago Blackhawks was largely one-sided, with the Avalanche overwhelming the Blackhawks 5-0. Throughout the evening, Connor Bedard was being targeted and irritated, and it was evident in the broadcast.

Every time a club faces the Chicago Blackhawks, Connor Bedard becomes a target, and even though the Avalanche are leading the division, they still want to make sure he has a difficult evening. Bedard's game on Thursday night was not good.

Not only was Bedard -3 for the game, but he also had one shot, two hits, and a minor interference call. Josh Manson also gave him a slash to the arm while the official was looking on, but no one called. After that, Bedard was obviously irritated, as you can see below:

Upon returning to the bench, Bedard yelled at the referee, indicating his obvious displeasure. Of course, in addition to slamming the bench door. He got into it with Manson once more later in the game and wasn't scared to confront him.

Blackhawks get blown out after a valiant effort to begin the game

Connor Bedard and the other Blackhawks did not contribute to the score sheet at all, although they did show some effort in the first period, outshooting the Avs 13 to 11, before losing the shot battle for the remainder of the game 24 to 11. It was obvious that this was a Stanley Cup contender versus a lottery contender.
