Connor Bedard reveals true thoughts on cringy Hyundai commercial
Chicago Blackhawks franchise player Connor Bedard revealed his true thoughts on a Hyundai commercial he filmed with his sister.
Bedard filmed the commercial for the car company during the offseason. Now he has to live with that choice as it plays on television across Canada, garnering lots of attention that he didn't necessarily want. Last night he shared his thoughts on it on Sportsnet.
"Yeah I mean, I cringe at myself just watching that. It is funny, I think they were telling me that she was pretty good and I was going to do my part and you know, they made me redo it a million times. It was funny but it's good to have her be a part of it and I'm lucky I'm in the States so I don't have to watch myself too much."
The Blackhawks were just in Vancouver where Bedard paid to have family and friends come watch him. Unfortunately for him, Canucks netminder Arturs Silvos stood tall, holding the Hawks to just one goal and keeping Bedard off the scoresheet altogether.
Hopefully, Bedard stayed away from the television during his off time yesterday, or else he would have had to see the commercial who knows how many times. Still, though, we all know his family was giving him a hard time about it during their rare chance to see him during the season.
With all that being said, Bedard has a lot more to worry about than a silly commercial. The Blackhawks are once again one of the worst teams in hockey and the 19-year-old has just 3 goals in 18 games, which is part of the reason why.
Granted, Bedard is currently shooting just 5.6%. That number will certainly be much higher by the end of the season, so it is only a matter of time before he gets hot. When he does, he will likely carry the rest of the team with him, hopefully getting them out of the basement of the standings.
