Gabriel Landeskog may never play in the NHL again
Tomorrow, Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog is expected to announce his retirement from the NHL.
Avalanche forward Gabe Landeskog is expected to speak with the press tomorrow at 9:30 PM alongside GM Chris MacFarland. Landeskog, has not played a game since 2022 after suffering a series of injuries that kept lingering. The growing consensus is that he will announce the retirement during the press conference.
#Avs GM Chris MacFarland and captain Gabriel Landeskog will meet with media at 9:30 AM tomorrow.
The timing seems reasonable considering there would be no other reason for him to speak, given he has not played since 2022, therefore an end of year presence must be voluntarily.
Landeskog has played in 738 career games scoring 248 goals and 571 points along the way. He was originally the second overall pick of the Avalanche in 2011 and has been their captain since 2012.
More details to come.
