Islanders Defenseman Deletes Social Media Account After Negative Messages From Fans
Yesterday, the New York Rangers made a spectacular comeback against the Islanders to win the Stadium Series outdoor game that was held in New Jersey.
Towards the end of the game, Isles' player Scott Mayfield received a penalty that led to the Rangers' tying goal and gave them the momentum going into overtime. At that time, he had already went twice to the penalty box in the game.
A troubling development from Mayfield emerged following the tough loss.

Some disappointed fans decided to take their frustrations to X and criticized Mayfield for his penalties.
Since then, Mayfield has deleted his Instagram account and is nowhere to be found on Twitter.

We sincerely hope that Mayfield isn't listening to the fans' critics and focuses on getting back on track for the next game.
