BREAKING: Paul Bissonnette Weighs In On Matt Rempe's Potential Suspension
Saturday night was filled with energy as fans gathered around their TV hoping for a tilt between highly valued enforcer Ryan Reaves, and newly uprising 6,8 forward Matt Rempe in the match between the New York Rangers and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
During the match, Rempe showed off his aggressive play by sending a message with a heavy high hit on newly acquired Leafs defenceman Ilya Lyubushkin. Paul Bissonnette shared his thoughts on whether a suspension is appropriate.
Bissonette feels suspension is not necessary
In a tweet made by Bissonette, you can see him defending the Rangers rookie by saying it was a clean hit, despite Lyubushkin not returning to the game.
Not a suspension. He's the closest forechecker to him and he just puts on the burners. Rempe could turn a playoff series around with a few of these types of hits. He's a mutant. Valuable if he keeps toeing the line the way he has.
