The clash between the Flyers and Bruins on Saturday was a controversial one, and Head Coach John Tortorella has wasted no time in calling out the league officials.

Over the years, Flyers Head Coach John Tortorella has not been shy about calling out officials, or anyone for that matter, and on Saturday he was back at it again at a press conference.

During the Flyers' latest matchup with the Boston Bruins, it appears as though Charlie McAvoy tripped Matvei Michkov, and believing that he had dived, he went after the rookie forward, prompting a scuffle with Owen Tippett and everyone on the ice.

It's unclear what the officials were looking at on the ice, with Flyers fans on social media certainly not happy about the way their star rookie was treated during the play.

After the game, Tortorella didn't hold back after the play, calling out the officials and suggesting he should teach his team how to dive instead, as that appears to be the way to draw penalties in the NHL right now.

«Yeah, let me start. One thing I teach my team to do is not dive. Maybe I should start teaching them that, the way this has gone here, the way this shit goes on, maybe I should start teaching them how to dive.»

Tortorella has never been one to hold back when expressing his frustrations, and after McAvoy was allowed to go after Michkov in the manner he did, it's safe to say that we all knew this was coming.

As usual, this is likely to result in some type of fine for Tortorella, but given the way his players were treated on the ice during the 4-3 OT defeat, he simply had to stand up for them, and he did so in a very fiery opening to the press conference after the game.
