After weeks of rumors circulating in NHL media, Philadelphia Flyers forward Scott Laughton seems to have confirmed his trade fate in a shocking Twitter post.

The Philadelphia Flyers have largely had a less-than-stellar season, winning only 23 of their 60 games thus far, and standing in the unimpressive 24th spot in the league.

However, they have gained and maintained slight notoriety during this calendar year for their trade potential surrounding one player in particular: veteran Philly Flyers forward Scott Laughton.

Frank Serravalli of the Daily Faceoff recently shared that multiple teams, including the Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Maple Leafs, have shown interest in the third-line center, but that Laughton would bet against his move.

"I think it's been positioned as the first team that puts a first-round pick on the table for Scott Laughton gets him. That said, I don't know that a team is giving you a first-round pick for Scott Laughton. They haven't to this point. I do believe on team in particular has put a second-round pick on the table. I believe that's the Winnipeg Jets. The Flyers are looking for more. I don't know if they're going to get it, but that's their thought process is if someone gives us something good, we'll move him. Ther's a number of teams in the league that are looking for that third-line center role. Toronto's been interested in Scott Laughton. I think there's a few other teams, I think somewhere between five and seven, that have checked in in total. Is this the year that he finally moves? I think if you ask him the answer would be 'no.'"

However, the former first-round pick recently shared a cryptic post that could pull apart Serravalli's whole theory.

Laughton shared a picture on Twitter with his Flyers teammates recreating Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting The Last Supper, with the subject taking the central role.

Provided the implications of the famous work, many fans believe this could indicate the team's last supper with their longtime player.

Though there has not been any confirmation of a trade, this picture does make it seem that Laughton could, after twelve years in Philadelphia, finally move to a new home in the NHL.

Whether or not it increases his chances of winning a Stanley Cup, only time will tell.
