Ottawa Senators Mock The Maple Leafs With Latest Statement
The Ottawa Senators defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs last night and released a statement this morning mocking them.
Senators Defeat Leafs
Last night, the Ottawa Senators defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-3 in an eventful and exciting game. Tensions flared at the end of the game though as Senators rookie Ridly Greig scored an empty net goal via slapshot which the Leafs took exception to.
Ridly Greig buries the empty-netter with a slapshot and Morgan Rielly takes exception Rielly was ejected from the game and is now potentially facing a suspension for his actions.
This morning, the Senators took to social media to further mock the Maple Leafs. The shared this post which has garnered mixed reactions.
Ridly Greig took a slap shot into an empty net to secure the victory and with it earned the Performer of The Game honours!
In addition to the caption, the graphic says "1 slap-away goals" further mocking the Leafs. The picture in the graphic is also a still shot of Greig hammering the puck into the empty net.
