This season is going to be an exciting one for many reasons in the NHL, but one of the most significant is the Utah Hockey Club, as they mark the NHL's third new team since 2017, although they come in as a relocation squad, rather than a traditional expansion one. Unsurprisingly, the demand for hockey in Salt Lake City led to a record demand for season tickets, and for some that will be a great option, but for others it won't be as good.
A recent Reddit post has now revealed the amount of 'partial view' seats set up for the NHL in Utah, with the changes to the Delta Center not enough to give those seats full view.

According to a report, the 16,000 seat arena features a ridiculous 6,000 seats that have obstructed views of the ice, and while they'll no doubt be cheaper because of it, obstructing the view of one net will really hamper the atmosphere in Salt Lake City. Still, this hasn't diminished the excitement for hockey in Utah, as fans will still continue to flock to games much like we saw with Seattle and Vegas upon their arrival, with road teams as well expecting very high attendance to witness the NHL's newest team.
Reportedly, owner Ryan Smith and the team are looking at renovations to make every seat completely unobstructed, but right now those are expected to take until 2027, so we will have to wait and see what the reaction is when the regular season officially begins.
