The ex-head coach of the Canucks Bruce Boudreau bashed the Vancouver media in a podcast interview.

Since Bruce Boudreau was fired as the head coach of the Canucks back in 2021, the renowned coach has been offering insights on a few podcasts and television broadcasts.

Considering that he was a part of the organization not that long ago, his insights are still extremely valuable to fans looking to know what's going on in Vancouver right now.

Indeed, the Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller feud has already been discussed by many experts, but Boudreau shed light on an interesting aspect of the whole story: the fact that Vancouver media are known to take things out of proportion.

Even though multiple reports confirmed that Miller and Pettersson don't get along, Boudreau added his grain of salt, saying that there are locker room conflicts in many teams, but they don't let it affect the team's results, and that the media in Vancouver likely had their role to play in this story.

Here's what he said:

"Because the media in Vancouver is nuts. They take everything, and they build everything out of proportion," Boudreau said (starting 17:43).

"Every hockey player that's out there has played on a team that's not everybody has gotten along, and they've got different personalities. But once you get on the ice, you're all like you're not sitting there hoping the other guy fails. It just doesn't happen on the rope."

"It's not just since I've been let go; this has been going on in Vancouver. When I was in Washington and in Minnesota, they say, 'Well, you think the press is bad here? Wait till you go to Vancouver and see what's going on there.' So, I mean, it's always they blow things out of proportion."

While the media could've had something to do with the feud in Vancouver, general manager Patrik Allvin can rely on information from within the locker room, and if he ends up trading one of them, it'll likely be because the whole thing is true.
