Brayden Tracey was once meant to be a key part of the Anaheim Ducks future, but now the young forward has hit rock bottom in his hockey career overseas after his contract was shockingly terminated less than a season into his career in Finland.

Back in 2019, the Anaheim Ducks drafted Moose Jaw Warriors forward Brayden Tracey with the No. 29 overall selection, hoping that the Calgary native could become a key piece of their future.

Unfortunately, things never quite panned out that way, as he managed to play in just one NHL game, never able to replicate his junior success at either the AHL or the NHL level.

Now, the 23-year old has attempted to rejuvenate his career overseas in the SM-Liiga with Jukurit Mikkeli, recording 1 goal and 6 points thus far through 13 games this season.

Brayden Tracey's contract has been terminated by mutual consent. Tracey played 13 games for Jukurei with a score of 1+5.

Unfortunately for Tracey however, he has now had his contract terminated by the team, as they announced on social media today, putting his future and career in hockey in question.

Standing at 6-foot-0 and weighing 185 pounds, Tracey not only has the size but the skill to play at the professional level, but for whatever reason, he simply hasn't been able to find his strides yet, and it could lead to a premature end to his career soon.

In his last two AHL seasons, Tracey managed 28 and 25 points with the San Diego Gulls, but that simply hasn't been enough for him to take the next step to the NHL, so while he's still got age on his side, he's got a huge decision to make after his shocking contract termination.

Will Brayden Tracey ever make it to the NHL again?
