The Green Men get kicked out of Rogers Arena for a controversial sign
During the Vancouver Canucks 2nd round series against the Edmonton Oilers, the legendary Green Men were kicked out of Rogers Arena for a controversial sign poking fun at Evander Kane.
This past season the infamous Green Men made their return to Rogers Arena and were supposed to antagonize the opposing players for the Canucks playoff run. However, they were reportedly kicked out during the second round series against the Edmonton Oilers for a controversial sign directed at Oilers forward Evander Kane.
#Canucks - apparently the Oilers complained to the NHL about The Green Men and the poster about Evander Kane. They wouldn't have been allowed back to Rogers Arena during round 2!!
The sign in question was poking fun at Kane's history of gambling which he has reportedly accrued millions in debt.
The Canucks ultimately lost to the Oilers in seven games and the Green Men will need to wait a bit more time before they return to Rogers Arena again.
