Washington Capitals and Buffalo Sabres game ends in full on line brawl
Tempers flared at the end of the Washington Capitals and Buffalo Sabres game last night as the two teams went into a full-on brawl to end the game.
Fighting continues to have its moment in the NHL, and despite the games meaning less and less as the post-season arrives, players are still having their tempers boil over and gloves come off as a result. Last night, this was just the case, albeit the game was not meaningless for the Washington Capitals.
With their season on the line, the Washington Capitals couldn't close out the game against the Buffalo Sabres last night, putting a massive dent in their playoff hopes. That desperation seemed to boil over at the end of the game, as Capitals players let their anger out in dropping the gloves for a full on line brawl. Take a look.
THE CAPS AND SABRES BRAWL AT THE END OF THE GAME 🥊
The fight was not just your run-of-the-mill brawl, as players eventually ended up separating for full-on fights, something you don't see as much these days but seem to be making a comeback.
Fans clearly loved it, and even though the Buffalo Sabres are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, it is clear that when they bring the energy like this, their fans will get behind them.
