Anisimov Signs PTO With Former Organization
Artem Anisimov has yet to play an NHL game since 202-21 with the Ottawa Senators, where he played 19 games with the club. After taking his talents to Russia to the KHL in 2021-22, Anisimov has had a few attempts at making a return to North America.
Now, he hopes to make another return, as he has just signed a Professional Tryout with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.

This is similar to what Anisimov did last season with the Philadelphia Flyers organization, signing a PTO with the AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley before turning that into an AHL contract.

Anisimov Returning to New York Rangers Organization
Anisimov is making a return to the organization that he spent his first four years of his NHL career with, and the team that drafted him in the second round, the New York Rangers. While he will be with the AHL affiliate, it is clear that Anisimov isn't done playing hockey in North America just yet, and could be an option for the Rangers to call up should they need it.
Anisimov is a substantial addition to the Wolf Pack's offense. He scored 36 points (19 g, 17 a) a season ago for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in 55 games, finishing 6th on the team in scoring.
The 771-game NHL veteran joins the team immediately and will wear #42.
