A few days ago we shared the story of Sidney Crosby presenting a puck to Brian Page, a fan who was paralyzed in 2020 while playing with the Little Flyers.
Yesterday a fan in attendance at the Washington Capitals game held up a sign reading, "Ovi I just beat cancer!
Skate over for a pic?"
Well in classic Alex Ovechkin fashion he made sure to make the fans night with an awesome photo.
Young Riley traveled from Iowa to St. Louis to watch her favourite team after winning her two and a half year long battle with cancer, which she won!!
Other fans at the game even noted seeing the sign during warm-ups.
This is just another story in the amazing career of Alex Ovechkin and why everyone loves the game of hockey and players that play it.
