When Alex Ovechkin passes Gordie Howe on the all-time NHL goals list many expected an elaborate celebration. A major milestone in Ovechkin's career certainly deserved a celebration fit for a King. But that's not how Ovechkin opted to celebrate.
Instead Ovechkin opted to take part in a celebration that would make almost every beer league time proud. Ovechkin shared the following with Samantha Pell.
. «Going to a bar right now, hot dog, nachos, you know,» Ovechkin said, per Samantha Pell of The Washington Post.
Ovechkin sits only 92 goals behind Wayne Gretzky. I wonder what The Great 8 has planned for that crowing moment when he passes The Great One.
