After not being able to close out the finals in game 5, the Colorado Avalanche will have a second chance to hoist the cup tonight in Tampa Bay during game 6.

Chris Johnston of TSN reported that the Colorado Avalanche forward Valeri Nichushkin had a very noticeable limp when he walked into the arena for the morning skate today, and after practice, Avalanche coach Jared Bednar told the reporters that they are hopeful he can play tonight.

Nichushkin has been one of, if not the best forward for the Avalanche during the cup finals to this point, scoring 4 goals and 2 assists during the 5 games. If he is not able to go for game 6 that could be a huge loss for the Avalanche.

After having a poor few seasons with the Dallas Stars his first few seasons, Nichushkin had a great season this year putting up 52 points in 62 games for the Avalanche. So far during the playoffs he's added 15 points in 19 games.
