If your a Montreal Canadiens fan it's been a very frustrating season, so much disappointment after making it to the Stanley cup final last year.
The Canadiens have been riddled with injuries all year, and they've just announced more injuries to add to the list. Saturday night during the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs, Habs Goaltender Jake Allen was injured trying to stop a shot by Leafs forward Auston Matthews.
Unfortunately Allen re-injured his groin that he originally injured on January 12th vs the Boston Bruins. Allen missed nearly 3 months from it and just only recently returned.
Unfortunately Allen was forced to leave that game and replaced by Samuel Montembeault. Today the Montreal Canadiens announced that Goaltender Jake Allen is officially done for the season with a lower body injury.
Habs Head Coach Martin St Louis also announced that newly acquired defenceman Justin Barron also is done for the year with an ankle injury. Barron was acquired along with a 2nd round pick from the Colorado Avalanche for Habs forward Artturi Lehkonen at the trade deadline.
