As if things have not been bad enough for the Arizona Coyotes lately, it was announced today that things may have just gotten a whole lot worse.

According to the NHL, Arizona Coyotes minority owner Andrew Barroway has been arrested.

The National Hockey League has issued the following statement:

The National Hockey League today issued the following statement regarding Arizona Coyotes' minority owner Andrew Barroway:

"The National Hockey League is aware of the arrest of Arizona Coyotes' minority owner Andrew Barroway. Pending further information, he has been suspended indefinitely."

According to Aspen Daily, the Coyotes owner is facing a felony strangulation charge.

When the Arizona Coyotes signed their deal with Arizona State for the use of Mullet arena, it came with a ''good behavior'' clause, so let's hope this doesn't have any serious impact on the team.

According to the document, if the Coyotes or Meruelo become the subject of adverse publicity, contempt, scandal or ridicule for violating «widely held principles of public morality, failing to conduct its business affairs with a high degree of integrity and honesty and/or failing to act as a good corporate citizen,» Arizona State can get out of its deal with the Coyotes.
