BREAKING: Brad Treliving Makes A Move Involving Ryan Reaves
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been in an awkward situation with Ryan Reaves over the last couple of days. Today Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving crumbled and activated him from injured reserve due to outside noise.
Treliving Crumbles Under Pressure And Is Forced To Make A Move Involving Reaves
This week the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ryan Reaves have stirred up controversy in the news. This controversy comes from an interview where Reaves claimed he had been healthy for weeks despite still being on injured reserve.
«Yeah, I've been ready for a couple weeks now,» Reaves said. That's a question for them. I am not in those rooms, in those conversations. I'm not going to speculate anything. Just stay ready. And if I get called upon, I do. If I don't, I get my work in.»
With this in mind conversations stirred whether the Maple Leafs were keeping Reaves on injured reserve due to salary cap reasons. Well, today that all changed as the Toronto Maple Leafs finally decided to activate Reaves.
This has now been seen as General Manager Sheldon Keefe crumbling to the pressure around him created by Reaves with his comments. It will be interesting to see if Reaves gets into a game soon or ends up being a scratch and moved on to his new team.
