After leading the way for a surprisingly great Philadelphia Flyers team in 2023-24, goaltender Carter Hart has been granted a leave of absence.
Carter Hart to step away from hockey
On Tuesday afternoon, the Flyers shocked the NHL world by announcing that standout goaltender Carter Hart will be granted an immediate and indefinite leave of absence.
"Carter Hart has requested and been granted an indefinite leave of absence citing personal reasons. The club will have no further comment at this time."
Respecting his privacy, the Flyers have refused to elaborate further as they appear to be supporting their young goaltender. Hart has been a huge part of the 2023-24 run that the Flyers have been on, and with playoff hopes and dreams this season, they will be hoping he can get back onto the ice soon.
We wish Hart the best and hope he can return to the ice as soon as possible.
