Former Duck Kerdiles Passes Away

Former NHLer Nicolas (Nic) Kerdiles has died in a Motorcycle crash in Nashville, TN in the early morning of Sept. 23, according to TMZ.

Kerdiles, a 2012 2nd Round Pick of the Ducks, was the first player from Anaheim's Orange County to play for the team. Kerdiles had played professionally in the NHL and AHL for parts of 6 seasons, with 3 NHL games for Anaheim in his career. Kerdiles played NCAA Hockey for the Wisconsin Badgers for 2 seasons.

Kerdiles found popularity post-Hockey, dating Savannah Chrisley, the daughter of Real Estate developers Todd and Julie Chisley, who had their own reality TV show, "Chrisley Knows Best.", which aired on USA Network for 10 seasons, but ended after the two were sentenced to prison in 2022 on multiple charges, including tax evasion and bank fraud. Kerdiles had been featured in episodes. Chisley and Kerdiles ended their relationship in 2020.

Kerdiles had been working in luxury Real Estate in the Nashville area prior to his passing. The Anaheim Ducks put out a statement, giving their condolences to Kerdiles' family.
