Just another day and another big name placed on waivers. We've seen quite a few big names, former first round picks and other top prospects placed on waivers this year and it's been exciting. The dead cap the past few years have put a bunch of teams in situations they don't want to be in and have forced them to make some moves.

This player went undrafted, but really made a name for himself in his final year in the QMJHL where he even was selected to play for Team Canada at the World Juniors.

Philippe Myers was eventually signed by the Philadelphia Flyers, where he became a full time NHL defenceman during the 2019-20 season. He was signed to a three year deal with an AAV of $2,550,000, which he is currently in the final year of.

In July 2021, he was involved in a three-way trade involving the Golden Knights and Nashville Predators that sent him to Nashville in return for Ryan Ellis.

This season he was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning in return for Ryan McDonagh.

He has been a major part in trades for some big name players.

After 11 games with the Lightning this season where he has recorded 1 goal and 3 points, the Lightning have placed him on waivers.
