The Columbus Blue Jackets appear to be dealing with some drama in net, making today's move even more surprising.
After landing in Columbus this past summer, 28-year old veteran Spencer Martin has officially been placed on waivers by the team today, as announced by beat reporter Mark Scheig.
News: #CBJ has placed Spencer Martin on waivers.
Martin was a third-round pick back in the 2013 NHL Draft, and after getting a break over the past two years in Vancouver, many believed coming to Columbus would give him an opportunity to win a significant role.
Unfortunately, in 13 games played this season, Martin has put together a 3.65 GAA and an .887 save percentage, and even with the drama surrounding Elvis Merzlikins, he's now been placed on waivers with his future in doubt.
