BREAKING: Insider Reveals When Connor Bedard Will Return
In breaking news, this NHL insider has just revealed when Connor Bedard is expected to return, and it may be sooner than you think.
Bedard Expected to Return In February
Connor Bedard has reportedly been itching to get back on the ice since suffering a broken jaw during a game against the New Jersey Devils. The injury required surgery and the original timeline was 6-8 weeks, however, Bedard has already been seen on the ice.
Now, insider Charlie Roumeliotis has predicted that Bedard will return ahead of schedule, to play against the Vancouver Canucks on February 13th.
"I'm going to go with February 13 against Vancouver. The Blackhawks have three days off in between [games] and I believe that Vancouver game would be five weeks and one day from the surgery. I still believe Connor is going to be ahead of schedule. Oh, and by the way, the team he grew up rooting for, so that's my target date for him."
This would be one week ahead of schedule for Bedard, which isn't anything drastic. However, the Blackhawks need to be careful rushing him back. While he is chomping at the bit to return, the Blackhawks aren't in any real position to make a run this year, and Bedard is their future. They would be remiss to see anything go wrong there.
We will see when he makes his full return as more details are revealed.
