Heartbreaking news has come from a Minnesota high school hockey team, which reported the devastating loss of one of its young players yesterday.
Car Accident Takes the Life of a 17-Year-Old Player
Mikayla McCarvel's life was cut tragically short; she was involved in a car accident three weeks ago and succumbed to a traumatic brain injury.
With heavy hearts and profound sadness we share that our teammate, Mikayla McCarvel, passed away last night. Please keep her family, friends, teammates, coaches and all that knew her in your prayers.
McCarvel played 42 games with the Minnesota high school hockey team during her hockey career.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends, and teammates during this difficult time.
