Connor Bedard's rookie season has been even better than anyone could have expected, but it was all seemingly derailed when a broken jaw was expected to keep him out for up to eight weeks of action.
Connor Bedard to return to Chicago soon?!
Despite the reports of a 6-8 week recovery time, it appears as though the Calder Trophy front runner is preparing to defy that and return in no time at all.
Connor Bedard is in full gear right now inside the locker room.
It looks like he's going to skate on his own in a non-contact jersey. Wow. #Blackhawks
We've known since before the draft process that Bedard was tough and dedicated to hockey, but this is more than anyone could have expected, and if he returns to the ice soon it would garner him major respect around the NHL.
In 39 games this year, Bedard has tallied 15 goals and 33 points, and while the team around him has been terrible, he's done his best to be the star the organization expected, and if he returns this quickly, it will be a major boost for him and the team.
