BREAKING: Player CLAIMED off waivers - Another former first round pick placed on WAIVERS

It's been an exciting year for the waiver wire and it just keeps going!

Yesterday we saw the Colorado Avalanche place two players on waivers, former 3rd overall pick and recently signed Alex Galchenyuk, and Jayson Megna.

Today it was announced that Megna has been claimed by the Anaheim Ducks.

Megna played in 14 games with the Avalanche this season and didn't score a single point.

It was also announced that 2015 19th overall pick Evgeni Svechnikov has been played on waivers from the San Jose Sharks:

Svechnikov has played in 20 games for the Sharks this season and scored 3 goals and 6 points.

The WInnipeg Jets also played Dominic Toninato on waivers, who is a former 5th round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs back in 2012. He played 4 games with the Jets this season registering 1 assist.
