This season has definitely been tough on the Montreal Canadiens and their fans. Going from 3 wins away from hoisting Lord Stanley to now being second last in the entire league, was not the direction the fans or the team thought they would be heading in after coming so close.
The season keeps getting worse for them as well with players suffering season ending injuries. Goaltender Price has yet to play this season and backup Jake Allen who has been the starter for the majority of the season, is now out for the remainder of the year with a lower-body injury, this left poor Sam Montembeault between the pipes last night as he was shell-shocked in a 5-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
When Jack Roslovic scored the first goal of the game last night, the Columbus Blue Jackets shot their signature cannon shot, and obviously Canadiens coach Martin St. Louis forgot about it definitely gave him a bit of a scare!
May want to get for a skid-mark after that one!
