The news was revealed earlier today when Habs head coach Martin St Louis confirmed that Price will indeed play tonight.
This will be a very special night, not only because Price returns, but also because in heartbreaking news, legend Mike Bossy passed away at the young age of 65 years old. In one of those incredible coincidences, the Islanders are in Montreal, his hometown, for tonight's game. On behalf of the Team of Wheel House Hockey our sincerest condolences to the Bossy Family.
Fans have been waiting anxiously since November for Price's return that seemed like it was never going to happen, especially when it was revealed the Canadiens didn't have enough salary cap space for Carey Price. Until they announced they placed injured forward Jonathan Drouin on long-term injury reserve it did not seem possible to fit him in.
Carey Price is the winningest goaltender in Montreal Canadiens franchise history and is loved by Canadiens fans. Despite the Canadiens only having 8 games left this season it's nice to see Carey finish the season season on a positive note heading into next season.
Carey Price was the main reason this team made it to the Stanley cup final last year he was amazing and let's hope that Price's return from injury is better than Tuukka Rasks's return.
Puck drop is 7 pm eastern time buckle up ladies and gents!
