Breaking News - Ovechkin out of All Star Game

The NHL's new COVID protocol rules can't come into effect soon enough, the latest victim of the NHL's COVID Protocols is Alex Ovechkin. Today the Washington Capitals PR account tweeted out the following message:
"Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin is unavailable tonight versus the Edmonton Oilers due to the NHL COVID-19 protocol. Based on a positive test result, Ovechkin will not participate in the 2022 NHL All-Star Game in Las Vegas."
Ovechkin is currently having an outstanding season as the star player currently has 58 points in 46 games. Ovechkin currently sits tied for 3rd in goals and 5th in the league in points.
