After a short 5 game stint with Laval of the AHL recording 2 goals and 5 points, the Montreal Canadiens have recalled Caufield to the big club!
Do you think he stays this time?
Do you think he still has a chance at the Calder?
Caufield was my prediction for the Calder, but its not uncommon for a player to fizzle out in there rookie season. When Caufield joined the Habs last year for the playoff run he was just coming off an amazing College season, where he scored 30 goals in 31 games, then followed that up by 3 goals in 2 games in the AHL. Needless to say, he was coming in full of confidence! Which is what makes a player thrive. Obviously he didnt have that to start the season.
