Riding high into the offseason after making it to the stanley cup finals as underdogs, the Montreal Canadiens had very high expectations coming into this season and didn't live up to any of them.
They lost Carey Price and captain Shea Weber in the offseason to injuries, star defensive center to free-agency and it was just something they could not over come.
Price made his comeback at the end of this season where he managed to get into 5 games, going 1-4-0.
But despite making his NHL comeback this season, it looks as though he knee might not be holding up as well as he hoped.
If Price retires, he will retire with a 361-261-79 record and a whole bunch of awards:
World Juniors Gold medal
Olympic Gold Medal
World Cup Gold medal
AHL champion
Vezina trophy
Jennings trophy
Hart trophy
Ted Lindsay award
And a for sure hall of fame career.
