Last night the Carolina Hurricanes hosted the New York Islanders which turned into a bit of a heated battle.
The two would face each othe and with the Islanders leading 1-0 to start the 3rd period, Hurricanes Brendan Smith went in his corner to play the puck, and Islanders Casey Cizikas laid into Smith with a questionable hit.
Smith left the game with some discomfort and Cizikas received a two minute penalty for boarding.
However expect the NHL department of player safety to look into Casey Cizikas lack of judgement.
