Connor Bedard Loses His Cool and Breaks Down on the Ice
Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks have been struggling lately and the 2023 1st overall pick let his emotions show with an on-ice breakdown.
Bedard Breaks Down On The Ice
Since making the NHL, Connor Bedard has been quite impressive. Despite having all eyes on him and the highest expectations, Bedard has proven time and time again that he is up to the task. However, he does have moments where he gets frustrated and he let his tempers flare last night versus Detroit.
After a poor powerplay and failing to get any closer to tying the game, Connor Bedard smashed his stick on the ice as he was about to step off.
The Blackhawks wound up falling to the Red Wings last night 5-1 with their only goal being a Lukas Reichel powerplay goal assisted by Bedard.
Bedard's Impressive Start
While Bedard is not scoring at will just yet, he is still producing at an elite rate for any NHLer. Through 21 games, Bedard has 10 goals and 18 points. His 18 points lead the team and is 6 more than any other teammate.
Without a doubt, he has been the Blackhawks' best offensive player and has a strong case for being their best all-around player already.
He is already the favorite for the Calder trophy and barring any injury, he should be running away with the title.
