Tonight Garnet Hathaway was ejected for a dirty hit on one of the Hughes brothers.

A division rivalry between the Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils took a turn when Garnet Hathaway took a run at Devils defenseman Luke Hughes.

Luke Hughes went to the locker room after this hit from Garnet Hathaway

Luke Hughes would immediately head to the locker room to be evaluated for an injury. Hathaway was ejected from the game for the vicious hit.

Luke Hughes was evaluated after it looked like he suffered what appeared to be a significant injury. There was speculation that his shoulder was the area of concern. After evaluation, Hughes was allowed to return to the game.
