Amidst his 21 game suspension for breaking COVID protocol, Evander Kane has returned to the headlines with more personal drama. Kane recently files claims against his wife whom he is currently embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with.
The 30 year old Sharks star has now claimed his ex as recently as a few months ago faked a pregnancy. In his documentation Kane claims he'd also like his ex to receive a psychiatric assessment to ensure she is capable to care for the couples young daughter.
According to court documents, Evander has accused Anna Kane of lying about her pregnancy since July of 2021. Evander had believed Anna was pregnant and due in February 2022, but according to documents Anna had an abortion performed in July of 2021. Kane states medical receipts as proof of this procedure.
Evander has claimed Anna went as far as to wear a fake pregnancy stomach to defraud him on this matter. Evander is also claiming Anna is not mentally fit to partner their daughter and is therefore asking for full custody and under his ex to undergo treatment for her mental health.
Anna has admitted she never informed Evander that she were not pregnant but denies the other claims.
With Kane's impending NHL return it will be interesting to see how this situation is handled.
