After his AHL Debut Evander Kane was met by the typical post game media scrum, during which at least one media member rubbed Kane the wrong way. When Sheng Peng of NBCS asked Kane, if he felt "he was NHL ready," Kane replied with a snarky response of:
"Well Sheng I am NHL ready," said Kane.
Sheng tried to clarify that he was referring to from a fitness standpoint, but Kane was rude once again with:
"Like I said.... I think I am... I don't get the question."
Later in the availability Peng asked a follow-up question about whether or not Kane wanted to be back on the Sharks NHL roster, but instead of answering Kane deflected the question.
"I think I've made my stance pretty clear and it's been well documented what happened," Kane replied.
But that wasn't all finally when Peng asked "if Kane had run into any of his Sharks teammates while in the building."
This question obviously irritated Kane, who responded:
"No Sheng, I play for the Barracuda right? So I come to the rink and I go to this room, how would I run into anybody? I don't know maybe you have been in more rooms than I have in this building, maybe you're more experienced than I am."
Kane continues to be part of trade speculation but it's clear he's not making any friends with local media during his AHL stint.
