The J.T. Miller saga may finally be over in Vancouver, but now it appears we're getting closer to finding out exactly what happened that forced him to a leave, with speculation now running wild about the reason behind all of this.
After months and months of speculation, J.T. Miller was finally traded by the Vancouver Canucks, and with it, the hopes in the organization that the drama is now finally over.
With that comes potential answers on why things got so ugly towards the end, with Elliotte Friedman recently hinting that something may have happened after a matchup with the Nashville Predators that forced Miller into a leave.
"They had the Nashville game and whatever happened after that game, and I've heard a couple of different versions, and nobody will confirm it so I'm not gonna say it. But whatever the case was J.T. Miller went on his leave."
Unfortunately, that didn't change much for Vancouver, and when things didn't improve upon his return, the organization was convinced that they needed to officially make a change, which they ultimately did as he was traded to the New York Rangers.
"When Miller came back from his leave things just didn't get better in terms of the relationship and the stress and things like that. I think everybody hoped he would come back and things would change and they didn't. I think that was when the decision was made... that they were gonna move on."
It's unclear if we will ever find out exactly what happened, as forcing a player into a leave of absence sounds like a big deal, but with the details not officially confirmed by sources, right now it's pure speculation from Friedman and his sources, with fans likely to make up their own minds about what happened.
