Ever since the team decided to go with Utah Hockey Club for their inaugural season, fans have been eagerly anticipating the newest name of Salt Lake City's NHL franchise moving forward.
Recently, owner Ryan Smith announced the three finalists for the newest team name, and after backlash on one of them, we now have the official three options that are being voted on:
Utah Hockey Club
Utah Outlaws
Utah Mammoth.
Now, a new update has revealed their potential logos, with all three leaked on social media to very mixed reactions from fans, with the favoured Outlaws possibility now drawing criticism for how bland the logo is, while neither of the others have blown fans away.
All three in fact have drawn criticism for looking like bland, generic video game logos, and while these jersey's may just be display ones to show off the new logos, it's safe to say that fans will be hoping for much more creativity all around.
Thus far there's been no update on how the voting has gone since Smith announced 'Wasatch' would no longer be an option, but with the season drawing near its conclusion, we should know sooner, rather than later what the NHL's 32nd team will be called.
Ultimately, this leak has only thrown more confusion into the mix, as fans online seemingly had their favourites, but with underwhelming options in terms of logos, it's safe to say that the fans have a very tough decision to make when it comes to the future of this organization.
