Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Penguins were facing the Metropolitan Division rivals New Jersey Devils for yet another crucial game in the standings.
With their shootout loss, Sidney Crosby's team earned a point but needed another one to reach the New York Rangers at the sixth rank with 55 points.

Crosby was hit shortly after getting rid of the puck in the Devils' zone, and he quickly left the ice with what appeared to be an upper-body injury.
