Former NHLer suspended for breaking players' jaw

Mark Barberio who previously played for the Lightning, Avalanche, and Canadiens has found himself in hot water for the 8th time in the past 2 seasons. Barberio has been sanctioned 8 times and suspended 4 up until this point.
In the most recent incident Barberio crosschecked Garrett Roe of the ZSC Lions in the face, which ultimately broke Roe's jaw. Barberio was issued an 8 game suspension and also issued a $12,500 fine for the play.
It was announced that Roe sustained a broken jaw that required surgery following the hit, and is expected to be out of action for an extended period of time. Barberio received a 2 minute penalty for the play in the game.
