Vilardi Doesn't Hold Back.
I'd be lying not to say, in Los Angeles, they're not the biggest hockey fans out there.
This quote was stated by newly acquired Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi in his first media availability since yesterday's trade.
Vilardi was traded alongside Alex Iafallo and Rasmus Kupari, in exchange for Pierre-Luc Dubois.
In his 15 minute video interview, he also stated the following:
"I think one thing (Los Angeles Kings head coach) Todd (McLellan) was very hard on me was my defensive game in terms of the first few years of my pro career. I think last year I kind of turned that corner and he kind of relied on me a bit more in the defence end, which is obviously huge."
Vilardi Excited for Fresh Start
"The Jets traded for me so obviously they want me. I want to be there, I'm excited," Vilardi said. "Hopefully we can get something done here soon. I think for the most part, it's just my agent. I don't really know much."
