Milan Lucic Eyeing Return To Former Team
Milan Lucic looks to potentially return to a team he found much success with back in the 2010s.
Lucic Could Head Back To Boston
When you think of the modern power forward in the NHL, you think of a player who plays like prime Milan Lucic. While Lucic is far from his prime, he is still a fantastic leader and a strong member of any bottom six.
When Lucic was in his prime, he was with the Boston Bruins consistently scoring 25+ goals in an era with low scoring.
Now, he could be eyeing a return to the Bruins to reunite with former teammates.
Lucic's Potential New Role In Boston
If he does return to the Bruins, he will play a diminished role on the ice but an amplified role off the ice. If Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci retire, we could see Lucic return and immediately earn the captaincy.
Similar to Kyle Okposo with the Buffalo Sabres, he would not be lighting up the stat sheet but would be a key leader that helps direct the team in a positive direction.
UPDATE, Sounds like a done deal:
