The Boston Bruins faced off against the Minnesota Wild in an NHL matinee game today. Both teams are known for their toughness, and the physical interactions on the ice did not disappoint. Ryan Reaves, the league's most feared enforcer, was at the center of it all for the Wild. On the Bruins' side, Garnet Hathaway, a newly acquired player with a reputation as a borderline psychopath, was the first to engage with Reaves.
During a play along the boards, Reaves and Hathaway collided in front of the Bruins' bench. The two exchanged heated words, with Reaves clearly challenging Hathaway to a fight. However, two referees quickly intervened and held Reaves back, while Hathaway retreated onto the bench, clearly nervous about engaging with Reaves.
It's worth noting that Hathaway is known for being a spark plug and one of the league's more physical players. Despite this, he was clearly intimidated by Reaves' reputation and power on the ice.
